We started with a full demolition and hauled away the remnants of the old basement before the rebuild. To start, we added new frost walls and insulation. To ensure existing and future power needs are met, we upgraded the electricity by installing a new 200-amp panel, meter socket and wiring.
Developing a basement for tenants involves meeting the city’s legal requirements.
To adhere to these standards, we installed a separate furnace and added drywall and a smoke seal to the furnace room. We installed Roxul sound deadening and a sound bar, cored two new egress windows, removed and replaced one window and added a laundry zone.
