We developed this basement in a single-family home in the Aspen Estates area in SW Calgary. The basement consists of a central living/entertainment area, bathroom, and bedroom, essentially creating a whole new living space for the home. Prior to setting up the actual rooms, we implemented Shaw carpet flooring, as well as tile for the bathroom and back landing. We also put in level 4 finish drywall and a textured ceiling and made sure that the paint matched the color of the main level for a cohesive look. For lighting, we installed 12 LED potlights, with decora plugs and switches. For heat, we added one heat run to the bathroom. For the central entertainment area, we installed our full TV package. This includes one cable and internet connection, raised plug, and an in-wall conduit, complete with HDMI and TV backing. We also ran additional TV and internet to the bedroom for full coverage.

We worked to create a bedroom that was both a great place to relax and rest, as well as a viable workspace. To make this happen, we installed double doors, as well as a large closet with wire racking for plenty of storage. We also added an Internet connection to the room, as well as leaving room for a desk to create a functional home office area. For added workspace, we also installed another office with a closet of its own.
