We began by opening up the stairs to the basement level, reducing a full wall into a pony wall that allows the light to flow through. The textured aspect of the new knockdown ceiling conceals any flaws from a discerning eye.
We upgraded the lighting in both the bedroom and the bathroom and placed a special accent pendant above the bar. To keep the entire space cohesive, we installed 5 mm luxury vinyl plank throughout, except for the bedroom and the bathroom. In the bedroom, we built-in coziness with plush carpeting, while in the bathroom, a sophisticated spa-like feel demands tile floor.
LED potlights overhead light up the entire basement area, while dedicated circuits for both the massage chair and electric fireplace ensure no electrical mishaps.
