The basement of this Everbrook home was designed to tick off all the client’s boxes. Guest room? Check. Home office? Check. Media room? You got it. The top priority for the basement was creating a lower level that offered a lot of options, without making the multi-tasking obvious. To do this, we focused on the flow.
The efficient layout of the entertainment zone allows straightforward and clutter-free access to the guest bedroom. It all begins with an inviting stairway, opened up with a painted stub wall. To the right of the stairs, a quiet nook for contemplation… and homework. Potlights carefully positioned in the ceiling keep the living area cheery and bright, while one paint colour for all the walls keeps the entire space cohesive.

Living Room
The living room of this basement was designed with cozy family time in mind, starting with 38 ounce Richmond Satin Elegance carpet with 8-pound underlay, creating comfort underfoot, with the added bonus of some sound muffling for when game nights become boisterous. A soothing neutral palette means the full focus can be on the entertainment system. We installed our standard TV Package, mounting the TV on the wall without any unsightly wires hanging down.
Living Room
The living room of this basement was designed with cozy family time in mind, starting with 38 ounce Richmond Satin Elegance carpet with 8-pound underlay, creating comfort underfoot, with the added bonus of some sound muffling for when game nights become boisterous.
