Number one on the wish list for our clients to ensure that they never feel as if they’re heading to a dungeon-like basement. We cut back the staircase wall, allowing the airy, open feeling to begin with the custom railing, where a mix of railing materials avoids a gate-like boundary.
The airy atmosphere continues with light-coloured walls and potlights overhead. Luxury vinyl plank on the floor brings in a high-end visual while being incredibly sturdy and practical for high-traffic areas. We separated the gym from the living room with custom sliding doors, and added a dedicated circuit for the treadmill. In the mechanical room we added new frost walls and insulation, and installed plywood.

In the main living area, we created two distinct zones without walls, to ensure the room feels as spacious as possible. Continuing the luxury vinyl plank though helps achieve this. Our famous TV Package keeps unsightly wires hidden for a stress-free television viewing experience, and we installed 7.1 Surround Sound so our clients would enjoy the best home audio has to offer. We build a feature wall of stone tile to house the 60” electric fireplace, resulting in a bonus nook on either side.
