We began with logistics, reinforcing the original foundation of this home to make it sturdy enough for years of wear and tear. The electrical panel had limited room, so we added a sub-panel. We installed new plumbing under the bathroom, and we moved the shut-off valves to the mechanical room. We also brought the heating system up to code.
Then we worked with the space, utilizing the existing window nooks at either end to create special zones, which gives the feel of different rooms, without walls that would be detrimental to the open, airy feel. At one end, we created an exercise zone, perfect for pumping iron, while also offering a luxurious amount of space and light for our yoga-enthusiast client’s sun salutations.

Without a tub to step over, the 5’ x 3’ shower allows easy entry. The subway tiles lining the walls emphasize the contemporary styling.
